riteScript® is our patent protected third generation natural handwriting
recognition technology.
Features
- Recognizes natural handwriting in a variety of styles, including cursive,
separate letters, and a mix of the two
- Users are not required to learn artificial shorthand symbols or alter their
writing styles
- Does not require users to train the recognizer on lengthy sample texts to
achieve high recognition rates
- Recognizes vocabulary words, non-vocabulary words, and arbitrary combinations of
letters, numbers, and standard symbols
- Users can write naturally, in word and sentences, anywhere on the screen or
other writing surface
- Provides automatic word and line segmentation and baseline detection in
handwritten text
- Includes our proprietary fusion technology to significantly enhance recognition
accuracy on Tablet PC and Windows Vista compared with the embedded "TIP"
handwriting recognition
Applications
riteScript is designed to run both locally and server-side for advanced
processing of digital ink notes taken on pen-enabled devices and recognition of online forms. Interaction between
client-side applications and the riteScript back-end is performed via an
XML-based data transmission protocol, which includes electronic ink encoding and
compression.
Interactive Demos
Click the links below to try a demo of riteScript. Each link relates to a
specific language. Once the demo begins, use your digital pen, stylus, or mouse
to input text, then wait a moment for the text to be recognized. Try writing in
both block (separate letters) and cursive styles.
